We understand Mixed Reality as an umbrella term for all human-centered forms of visualization. Therefore, Mixed Reality can also be seen as a general term encompassing different variations such as Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Extended Reality, and Assisted Reality. Mixed Reality is also the space where digital content is arranged to relate previously invisible digital data to our physical spatial world.
For human interaction, this can be maximally supportive, as we, as humans, experience things with our entire bodies. In certain application areas (e.g., training), it can be advantageous to enhance spatial experiences to support a more immersive experience.
Industry 5.0 refers to the approach of placing humans back at the center of industrialization. The concepts of Industry 4.0 focused on automation and machine-to-machine communication, excluding humans as part of the production chains. With the principles of Industry 5.0, a more holistic approach is intended, aiming to reposition humans at the center of the processes. The European Commission identifies key aspects such as Artificial Intelligence, sustainability, and especially education & training as crucial for implementation. We support these processes with innovative visualization techniques, encompassed under Mixed-Reality. Whether it's knowledge transfer, practicing production steps, or planning phases (virtual factories), Mixed-Reality serves as a perfect interface to make hidden factors visible to humans.
The digital twin is a virtualized copy of the real world or machines/factories, whose data is utilized in the virtual environment. For instance, it can be used for planning production processes or simulating scenarios that are otherwise too dangerous, impossible, or costly. In the simplest case, the digital twin can provide real-time data to the user and display it in a Mixed-Reality manner during ongoing operations. This often saves time and effort and, ideally, can provide workers with essential information alongside the operation of production facilities.

Mixed-Reality kann, wenn sie gut gemacht wird, als immersive Technologie bezeichnet werden. Wir können Sie dabei unterstützen, Ihren Anwendungsbereich möglichst immersiv zu gestalten.
Mit technischen Geräten auf natürliche Weise interagieren. Beispielsweise bieten einige neuartigen Brillen die Möglichkeit die eigenen Hände zur Interaktion zu benutzen. Die virtuelen/digitalen Inhalte werden dann manipuliert, ohne weiter Hilfsmittel (z.B. Controller) zur Hand zu nehmen.
Ein ganz verständlicher Umgang mit neumodischen Geräten, der angelegt an instinktives Verhalten, den Umgang mit Technologie unterstützt und keiner zusätzlichen Erklärung Bedarf. Eine gut gemachte intuitive Schnittstelle lässt sich beispielsweise daran erkennen, ob selbst Kleinkinder den Umgang mit Technologie eigenständig verstehen können, ohne vorher eine entsprechende Kompetenz zu haben. Bei so einer gestalteten Interaktionstechnologie kann man den Begriff der ‚Intuivität‘ verwenden.
